Terms of sale

We sell to businesses in the United States: contractors, integrators, distributors, facilities and utilities. Orders are placed by a person acting for that business, and we may ask for the company's legal name, address and a contact we can reach on the company's own published telephone number.

Prices on the site follow COMEX copper and aluminum during the trading day and can change without notice. The price you pay is the price shown at the moment you order or the price on a written quote you order against, whichever applies.

A written quote holds its prices for 7 days from issue, whatever the metal does in between. After that date it expires and prices follow the metal again. A quote covers the parts, quantities and put-ups listed on it; changing any of these makes a new quote.

Sales tax is not collected on the site. If your state requires it, it is the buyer's responsibility. Buyers claiming resale should keep their certificate on file with us.

First orders are prepaid. Payment by card, ACH or wire against the invoice, before shipment. This applies to every new account without exception, including orders with a purchase order number, and including buyers who have credit elsewhere.

Credit terms are earned, not requested. After an account has paid for its first orders on time, we will consider net terms on a written application. Approval, limits and terms are at our discretion and can be withdrawn. We do not open terms by email, and we do not process credit applications sent with a first order.

Late balances accrue 1.5% per month or the maximum the law allows, whichever is lower, plus reasonable collection costs.

Orders ship from Suwanee, GA 30024 by parcel or LTL freight, whichever suits the weight. Freight is free on orders over $3,000; otherwise it is confirmed before shipment and shown on your invoice before you pay.

We ship to the buyer's own facility. First orders are not shipped to residences, freight forwarders, hotels, self-storage, or an address that does not belong to the buying business. We may verify a ship-to address before dispatch.

Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer when the carrier accepts the shipment. Inspect every delivery before signing; note shortages or damage on the carrier's delivery receipt and tell us within two business days so we can claim against the carrier with you.

By-the-foot orders are cut to your length and carry the cut charge shown on the site. Cut cable is made for you and is not returnable.

Unopened full reels and boxes in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery with a return authorisation from us. A restocking charge of 20% applies, and return freight is the buyer's. Refunds are issued to the original payment once the goods are received and inspected.

An order can be cancelled without charge until it is cut or has left our dock. After that the return terms above apply.

Product is manufactured by Commodity Cables and carries the manufacturer's warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Specifications on datasheets are nominal and subject to normal manufacturing tolerances. We do not warrant fitness for a particular installation; sizing, code compliance and installation conditions are the buyer's responsibility, and the Project Advisor is an aid, not an engineering opinion.

Our liability on any order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for consequential losses, delay or installation costs.

We verify email domains, call companies on their published numbers, and decline orders that do not check out. Orders placed under a name that is not the buyer's, or using a lookalike domain of a real company, are refused and reported.
