The short version: every weekday morning a script reads the product pages of the online retailers that publish prices, compares them with ours, and publishes the result, whether we win or lose. This page is the long version.
Weekdays at 6:20 am Eastern, twenty minutes after our own prices are set against that morning's COMEX copper and aluminium. The comparison therefore always uses the prices you would pay that day. The most recent check was Sep 11, 2026, 11:11 AM ET.
Today: Nassau National Cable, Cables Plus USA, Primus Cable, Wire & Cable Your Way, CableWholesale. Distributors that only quote after you log in cannot be compared, so they are not on the list. Neither are marketplaces that forbid automated reading of their pages. We add a retailer when it publishes prices and sells the products we sell.
Identical part means the retailer lists the same manufacturer part number we sell. Most of our comparisons are this kind. Comparable spec means the same gauge, conductor count, listing and put-up from another maker; jacket colour may differ. A match we have not confirmed ourselves is never published. Copper-clad aluminium is never compared with bare copper, a 500 ft box is never compared with a 1,000 ft reel as if they were equal, and riser is never compared with plenum.
Retailers sell by the foot, the coil, the box and the reel. Every price is converted to dollars per 1,000 ft before it is compared, and both figures are shown when units differ. Prices are read from the retailer's structured product data, not guessed from the page, and a page with no published price is reported as exactly that. All figures are before shipping and tax.
It shows on the price check page and on the product page, in red, with the retailer's link. We do not hide those. If you want the product, send us the link through the match form. We confirm the price, match it, and change it on the site for everyone, not only for the buyer who asked.
A comparison that only shows wins is an advertisement. Ours is a working document: it is the list we use each morning to decide which prices to change. Publishing it as it is, with the retailer's own page one click away, is the only way the wins mean anything.
Retailer prices are read at the time shown and may have changed since. Retailer names are used to identify the source of a price and imply no affiliation or endorsement.
